The Dangerous Cycle of Repetition

Repetition is doing the same thing repeatedly. It can be both good and bad. Jesus talked about vain repetition in Matthew Chapter 6 when He was teaching the disciples about prayer. Repeating Bible verses is a good memory enhancing tool. Doing meaningless things over and over again produces meaningless results. Some folks go to church every Sunday going through the motions of standing, sitting, kneeling and throwing a few bucks into the offering plate because they've been doing it for years. No relationship, just repetition to complete the weekly task. If you're not going to do something with meaning, it's better not to do it at all. Jesus isn't into half-hearted, lukewarm relationships.  Thanks for your time. Go do something nice for somebody.
