The Dangers of Losing Hope/Expectation
from Triumph in Christ · host Janice Davis Steele
This message, "The Dangers of Losing Hope/Expectation," focused on Ezekiel 37:1-11, deals with the valley of dry bones. As we established in earlier messages, hope, or expectation, creates an attachment. The word "hope" in Hebrew is Tiqvah, which literally means a cord, or an attachment. You get attached to what you are hoping for; what you are expecting, and it gets attached to you. In Ezekiel 37:11 the people kept saying "Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost." This resulted in the valley of dry bones. There was a physical representation of their lost hope, their lost expectation, and their own sense of dryness. Dry places are where lost hopes go to die. It is also where unclean spirits go to find rest. Matt. 12:43. So, that is not a place where you want to stay. The good news is God is mighty to save and deliver! Lost hopes can be resurrected! Dry places can be revived! You must understand and know this. Jesus said, "You do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God." Matt. 22:29. You need to know these truths and apply them! Find out how to live in the joyous expectation of God's best! Find out how lost hopes can be resurrected. Find out how to come out of dry places! This message will explain just how! Those present were truly blessed and helped by the message. I believe you will be, too! So listen for on-time instruction and a word in season that will enable you to exit places of persistent suffering and experience the delivering power of God!
