This episode of Virtual Water Cooler Chat features Virtual Patent Gateway Principal and Founder Ashley Cheung on “The Dao to Virtual Gateway.”  Ashley is a first-generation immigrant from Hong Kong and the fearless leader of the Virtual Patent Gateway (VPG) team.  VPG was founded in January of 2020 to allow Ashley to leverage her paralegal skills on a virtual platform. Having supported attorneys for over two decades, first in construction litigation and then in patent litigation, Ashley found her niche in Patent and Trial Appeal (PTAB) practice, eventually wanting to take that skillset and passion to help support patent practitioners in PTAB practices.   Claiming the University of Kansas as her Alma Mater, Ashley double-majored in Political Science and East Asian Languages and Cultures and went on to receive her Master’s in East Asian Languages & Cultures, with a thesis focus of Chinese American intercultural negotiation styles.    Ashley is an avid traveler, and she loves spending time reading, writing, learning and connecting with people.
