I spoke to the darkwave  industrial duo from Baltimore, Maryland -Ego Likeness.  Taking their name from Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction novel Dune, Ego Likeness was formed in 1999 by Steven Archer and Donna Lynch.  They released their first and full-length album "Dragonfly" in 2000 which is available currently on #MetropolisRecords, followed by "Water to the Dead," in 2004 via Dancing Ferret Records. Their third album followed called "The Order of The Reptile" in 2006. Ego Likeness who's currently signed to Metropolis Records released their 4th Album, "Breedless" in 2010.  Their full-length album "When The Wolves Return" was released in 2015 and "Songs From A Dead City" in 2018. Their albums and their latest EP "Wolves" 2020 are available on Metropolis RecordsDonna is also an artist and writer who has written and published numerous poems and short stories, releasing two collections of poetry: 'In My Mouth' (2000) and 'Ladies & Other Vicious Creatures' (Raw Dog Screaming Press, 2007). Her first novel includes the acclaimed "Isabelle Burning" (2008) and a novella called "Driving Through the Desert" released on Thunderstorm Books in April 2012.Steven whose musical projects include Hopeful Machines and Stoneburner (COP International) is also an accomplished visual artist and painter who showcases his paintings, sculpture, and mixed media pieces in various galleries, stores, conventions, and venues. He is the author and illustrator of a children's book, "Luna Maris" (Imaginary Books, 2008), and the graphic novel "Red King Black Rook". They have a beautiful hairless Sphynx cat name Sophie . The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems.
