The Dash

Walk through any cemetery and you will see two dates on every headstone—a birth date and a death date. Between those two dates is a small dash. Most people focus on the dates. But what if the dash is what matters most? In this episode of Unmasked by Grace, Donna reflects on the gift of life and the reality that none of us knows how long our dash will be. As we grow older, it can become easy to focus on the years behind us or the end that lies ahead. Yet God calls us to live fully in the time we have been given today. Together, we’ll explore what it means to live intentionally, love deeply, forgive freely, and embrace the purpose God still has for us—regardless of our age or season of life. If you’ve ever found yourself dwelling on regrets, worrying about the future, or wondering whether your best days are behind you, this episode is a reminder that as long as God has given you breath, your story is not over. The end date belongs to God. The question is: What will you do with your dash? Scripture Reflection: “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12 Join me as we take off the masks, embrace God’s truth, and learn how to live faithfully in the dash. Because no story is defined by its ending alone—it is shaped by how we live the pages in between. ❤️
