The Day Is Almost Here!“And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.”— Romans 13 verse 11 (NIV). Have you ever felt like time is flying by? Paul sensed that too—but not because of the daily rush of life. He was deeply aware of something far greater: Christ’s return was getting closer each day.Paul didn’t just share this as information. He used it as an urgent call: “Wake up! Shake off your spiritual laziness! Don’t get comfortable in this world!” For the youth in his time—and even more so today—this call still echoes. We’re surrounded by distractions: social media, entertainment, popularity, desires… and all of them can put our spiritual life to sleep if we’re not paying attention.But Paul reminds us that our final salvation—Christ’s glorious return, the redemption of our bodies, the freedom from sin—is nearer than ever. This is not the time to be asleep. It’s time to rise, act, and be ready.Jesus told us again and again to stay watchful—not out of fear, but out of love. A heart that is awake lives with purpose, seeks holiness, shares the gospel, and clothes itself “with the Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 13:14).Remember this: Just because time feels long doesn’t mean God has delayed. He’s patient, waiting for every heart to be ready. But for those who live unprepared, the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2–3).Wake up, young believer! God is calling you. There’s a mission to fulfill.
