James Goodhand is the author of The Day Tripper, a novel about a man who has become detached from time and given the sometimes confusing opportunity to change his past, or is it his future? We talk about fostering creativity, eliciting an emotional response with art, writing, the importance of walking, drive-through daiquiris, artificial intelligence and its potential impact on literature, masculinity, the foolishness of only pursuing money, addiction and alcoholism, the power of artists to change society, and even politics.
