Hi I’m Mariel Hemingway, Founder of The Dead Poet’s Foundation. When emotional pain and the struggles of life drive anyone to purposely end their own life the impact is beyond tragic. The hurt and loss touches all of us forever. Dead Poets Foundation is conceived and dedicated to helping people move away from the impulses of self-destruction toward the hope and blessings of life.    We are striving to end the stigma around mental health and have fewer people die by suicide. Addressing all aspects of the tragedy of suicide through art, publication, event panel discussion, and advocacy, the mission of Dead Poets Foundation is to inspire and equip all of us for living.
