The Death of a Lady

She was once financially secure, then lost it all during her husband's long illness. Quietly and with dignity, she worked as a maid—never complaining, never bitter. Always neatly dressed, always gracious, always faithful. Her life embodied Paul’s words: “Godliness with contentment is great gain” (1 Tim. 6:6). In God’s eyes, she was rich. While many choose self-pity and discontent, she chose faith, grace, and quiet strength. She lived richly and died peacefully—a reminder that true wealth is found in contentment and godliness.
