The Death of Baldur and the Cause of Earthquakes in Norse Mythology

Baldur’s death is one of the most tragic stories in Norse mythology. Loved by all the gods, his life was cut short by Loki’s betrayal and a simple mistletoe spear. But this myth doesn’t end with grief—it also explains why earthquakes shake the world of humans. In this episode, we follow the full tale of Baldur’s dreams, Loki’s trickery, the sorrow of the gods, and the cruel punishment that left Loki bound beneath the earth until Ragnarok.   Stay until the end to hear the mythological reason behind earthquakes, and discover how this story marks the beginning of the end for the Norse gods.   Reference: Norse Mythology- Sebastian Berg   For Videos: https://youtube.com/@mythiccosmos   You can find Royalty Free Music and Sound Effects on Epidemic Sound.
