Guitarist extraordinaire Ace Von Johnson has played with so many bands it’s hard to keep count. Just some of them are glam-metal lords Faster Pussycat, the industrial Neon Coven and a plethora of punk combos including Unwritten Law, U.S. Bombs, Madcap, Cheap Sex and infamous New York hardcore icons Murphy’s Law. He’s been with LA Guns since 2018, and they’ve just released a new album called “Checkered Past” Aside from music, Ace is also a voice actor and canine advocate: he adores pit bulls. A Los Angeles native, he recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee. In this episode, Ace and hostess Pleasant Gehman talk about everything from old school ‘70’s punk to 80’s hair metal, plus the debauched shenanigans that went down when he toured with Faster Pussycat.
