The difference between spiritual and carnal living 2Tim 3:16-17
from Conversations with Ray Martinez · host Ray Martinez
We are taught that living spiritually will draw you away from desiring sinful activity. Evidently, the two war with each other; spiritual and fleshly. Certainly, we know what many of the obvious fleshly desires are... However, being spiritual entails that, from deep within, we have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. What is important about our lifestyle change is to become increasingly spiritual and decreasingly carnal, which is called sanctification. Once we are relinquished from our sinful flesh, carnality outbreaks will be the exception, not the rule. Travis Thompson told me about physical fitness: “This isn’t a hobby, it is a lifestyle.” Growing in Christ isn’t intended to be the popular thing to do for the day, but it is a new lifestyle that he wants us to live by and grow on a daily basis.
