Despite the passage of time, the ache of his loss has not diminished.The investigation initially focused on the last place Jake was seen — the frequently traveled shortcut through the wooded area in Midland. On that night, Jake had been out with friends, drinking and joking around, even smashing bottles over each other's heads in playful antics.
