The Disappearance of Jean McConville

It was around 7 in the evening in the Divis Flats when there was a knock on the door of the McConville’s. The children answered the door to a number of individuals. They asked ‘where’s Jean’ and when she appeared they told her to put on a coat and they took her out into the night. They told the children that she would be back in 30 mins. That was the last time Jean McConville was seen alive. In the days following her abduction, no neighbours called over to check on the children and no investigation was ever opened up.
