In December 2023, after acquiring HBOMax, Warner Brother Discovery released a list of project they have chosen to cancel. The choices have really set people off. Many Latin and LGBTQ+ based shows were canceled, again. But others were real head scratchers. Westworld was not only canceled, but removed from the platform with no word on the future availability. Other projects, like the much anticipated Batgirl, were completely shelved after completing production. This one really hit Manny Oso. With the fate of the critically acclaimed Westworld, ow with it being thrown into the Void, people like him may never get to watch the series. And Nicky Trendz tries to makes sense of it, too. Some articles she brings up tell us that the problem may lie in that wait-and-see attitude. When shows stay on platforms but are never watched, thats money burning away to these Streaming Services.
