The Disciple-Making Parent (part 2): Marriage

Marriage is like a finely tuned machine. It’s not finely tuned to make you think highly of yourself, that’s for sure. It is finely tuned to work on you and on your spouse. It is finely tuned for your sanctification.So why am I talking about marriage in a class on parenting? I'm doing it because it is my observation that people who settle in their marriage relationship are really bad at parenting. People who refuse to allow their marriage to sanctify them and change them don’t make for good parents. If you can’t figure out how to have a relationship with your wife or husband, what makes you think you’ll be able to have a strong, healthy relationship with your son or daughter?
