The Discovery Collection At The Chattanooga Public Library

Chattanooga Public Library(Chattanooga Public Library)(Aired Thu 1/16/25) Last month, the Chattanooga Public Library unveiled “The Discovery Collection” - offering books, materials and tutoring to help improve adult literacy.People can check out the collection at any Library location - thanks to a partnership between the Library, the Mary Walker Historical and Education Foundation and the Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Athens Adult Education, with support from Chattanooga 2.0 and the Chattanooga Public Library Foundation.Will O’Hearn is the Library’s executive director.Amy Lowdermilk is adult education instructor with TCAT-Athens._____Since our conversation, the Chattanooga Public Library has also launched the Start Smart Initiative to boost youth access to the library here in Hamilton County.Details on that are also at the Library’s website: chattlibrary.org.
