On June 24, 2016, Christy Sheats called a family meeting at her Katy, Texas home. She pulled out a .38 caliber revolver, shot her daughters Taylor, 22, and Madison, 17, and chased them into the street where she finished them off—all to make her husband "suffer" [citation:2][citation:11]. In the 911 calls, the daughters can be heard begging: "Please forgive me, please don't shoot" [citation:3][citation:10]. Police had responded to 14 calls from the home since 2012 due to her suicide attempts [citation:6][citation:12].
