In early February 2025, Sheriff's deputies in Galveston County, Texas were called to family home in Bacliff. The house had been barricaded and its residents, a grandmother and her grand-daughter hadn’t been heard from in days. There was no response from inside. A friend of the family, in desperation, began breaking windows to get inside. Once he had done so, the man made a horrific discovery. What followed was the unravelling of a dark story. One of love, greed, hatred and murder.
