It's been 14 years since Martin Luther McCoy has released an album but this past month he released "Welcome back Love" . Martin has been making music for the past 40 years. He's toured with The Roots, he's recorded and performed with folks like George Clinton, E-40, Too-short, and so many others. His newest album is reflection of all the experience and talent that he has accumulated over those years. Martin was nice enough to stop by the show and talk with us about his career. Doc and Martin talk about growing up in the Bay area, trying out for Questlove to play with The Roots, going to Morehouse for college, his first time ever hearing Prince, recording the new album and so much more!
