In this episode, Stephen sits down with Dr. Matthew Emerson to discuss Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is the second person of the Trinity. This doctrine is the epicenter of all doctrines. Dr. Emerson earned a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and an M.Div. and Ph.D. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Emerson joined the OBU faculty in 2015.     He serves as co-Executive Director of the Center for Baptist Renewal, co-editor of the Journal of Baptist Studies, steering committee member of the Scripture and Hermeneutics Seminar, and Senior Fellow for the Center of Ancient Christian Studies.     He has also served in many different capacities at a number of local churches, and he has a deep, deep love for Christ’s church.    His Book:  "He Descended to the Dead": An Evangelical Theology of Holy Saturday.
