The Door at the Wisteria Public Library
from Rooms We Don't Open — Fexingo Horror · host Fexingo
In the late autumn of 2019, I spent a week in Wisteria, Ohio — a town that clings to the highway like a forgotten pocket. The public library there was a brick building with a basement that smelled of old paper and bleach. My friend Carla worked the evening shift. She told me about a door in the basement that wasn't always there — a narrow oak door with a brass knob that appeared only after nine o'clock. She thought she was imagining it. One night, she opened it. I went back with her the next week to see for myself. What we found inside wasn't a storage room or a boiler. It was a reading room — warm, silent, filled with books that seemed to have been waiting for us. And there was a woman there, sitting at a wooden table, who spoke without moving her lips. This is the story of that door, and why I still dream about stepping through it again. #RoomsWeDontOpen #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #WisteriaPublicLibrary #AutumnHorror #LibraryHorror #Door #Basement #ReadingRoom #StrangeWoman #LiminalSpace #SmallTownHorror #Ohio #BookHorror #Luna #Anthology #QuietHorror #Atmospheric Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
