Serena Wills is a native New Yorker and currently resides in the Washington, DC area. She holds a BA in Policy Studies from Syracuse University, an MPA from Virginia Tech and an MA in Health and Wellness Coaching. She's a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach through the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching, a nonprofit guru, a published author and a poet. Besides her most recent published book, Crying Tears of Teal released in fall of 2017 she also has other previous publications which include her first poetry book titled, Reconstruction, Pieces of Life, Volume 1 which was released in 2014. She's also published in numerous anthologies and a contributing writer/blogger for Valued Victorious and Virtuous and Beautiful Brown Girls (both online magazines and blogs) and has features in Natural Awakenings Magazines in DC and New York City where she discusses health and wellness, shares poetry and articles and other national publications. Serena is a mother to her beautiful son and is an advocate for Ovarian Cancer, GYN Cancers, HIV/AIDS, Lymphoma and Lyme Disease research and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
