We look at how the Vine’s roots serve as an Anchor. Jesus, being the (one and only) True Vine can therefore serve as our Anchor (if we choose to Anchor ourselves in Him). It’s up to us to trust in Him in order for us not to be carried away by the strong currents of the world, and led astray into temptations and other forms of the evil in the darkness. We can trust in the Lord more when we realize that He is always the same, yesterday, today and forever. Not to forget also that His Word is forever settled in Heaven (Psalm 119:89).
