The dystopian world we live in... (EP4)

Today, we talk about history and how it seems to always repeat itself. A couple of books pique our interest on the subject; namely, “Tragedy and Hope” by Carroll Quigley and “1984” by George Orwell. History is cyclical…but should we want the cycle to stop - especially if it comes with the destruction of cultures and civilizations? Why are we so intrigued about what the future holds? Are we condemned to always relive the same predicament? And where is choice in all of that? Are hard times difficult for everyone ? Or can some of us escape the hardship? So many questions that make for a very interesting discussion!
