The East Lubbock Art House "After Party" was FIRE....

The Focus LBK swung through The East Lubbock Art House on Saturday October 19th to catch “The Afterparty”. The show featured music and art by all kinds of young artists including: Jada Taylor, Rexondon, Que Johnson, boog, JastheInfluence, Dhani, Rllynegative, Whatseatingphil, NBF St3ezy, Katherine Rowe, Luvyo.store, Alexis White, Cassi Carrasco, and of course, Danielle East, Founder of the East Lubbock Art House.Que Johnson and Rexondon MC’d the event. While mixing and mingling, we learned that Mr. Johnson was a coach up at Cavazos Middle School. As we took in the scene, it occurred to us that the artists and crowd looked to be about the right age to be Mr. Johnson’s students and their family. We could be mistaken, but it seemed likely, especially when considering the creative spellings of some of the performer’s stage names.We caught performances by Rllynegative and Rexondon. Early in the event, a nearby power pole sparked off, which of course drew the attention of Lubbock Fire Rescue. A cool, young, fit-looking crew of firemen stopped by to make sure everything was ok, which it was.LP&L trucks were also out investigating. Nonetheless, the event proceeded without further distraction, and it was dope.
