Lord, send forth your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, how great you are, clothed in majesty and honour, wrapped in light, as with a robe! You set the earth on its foundation, immovable from age to age. You wrapped it with the depths like a cloak; the waters stood higher than the mountains. You make springs gush forth in the valleys; they flow in between the hills. There the birds of heaven build their nests; from the branches they sing their song. From your dwelling you water the hills; by your works the earth has its fill. You make the grass grow for the cattle and plants to serve mankind’s need. That he may bring forth bread from the earth. How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures. Bless the Lord, O my soul.R/. Lord, send forth your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.Second Reading: Genesis 22:1-18 In those days:  God tested Abraham, and said to him,  “Abraham!” And he said, “Here am I.”  He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac,  whom you love, and go to the land of Mori′ah,  and offer him there as a burnt offering  upon one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”  So Abraham rose early in the morning,  saddled his donkey,  and took two of his young men with him,  and his son Isaac;  and he cut the wood for the burnt offering,  and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.  On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes  and saw the place afar off.   Then Abraham said to his young men,  “Stay here with the donkey;  I and the lad will go yonder and worship,  and come&nb
