What we’ve learned recently is how we react to news items says more about ourselves than we would like to admit. News stories like the passing of Rush Limbaugh or Ruth Bader Ginsburg served as an Ink-Blot/Rorschach test or a glimpse into our personalities, raw emotions, and thoughts. But what about the death of someone in our own lives who were influential in positive or negative ways? How we react to the passing of a tormentor or bully says as much about us as our reactions to the passing of a favorite teacher, relative, or friend would.
