The economic crisis and the crisis in economics (part 2) (INET Conference)

from CambridgeJBS · host CambridgeJBS

INET Conference, April 2010 The conference "The Economic Crisis and the Crisis in Economics" brought together economists from all over the globe to King's College Cambridge, the home of the father of economics John Maynard Keynes. Just as importantly these economists shared different views on the correct approach to the 200 year old discipline. Their solutions for the current economic crisis were equally contradictory. Sponsored by George Soros, who is interviewed in this documentary, the inaugural conference of the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) brought policy makers, chief theorists, Nobel Prize winners in their profession and historians of economic thought to one place to learn from one another and exceeded the highest hopes of delegates and organisers.
