The economy (and the indicators that I talk about) affects us all

This week I would like to finish The Economics Minute for the year with a summary of the highs the lows and everything in between that made the news. If you have been listening along for the past year, you will know that we do not know how the economy is doing in real time. The official indicators are only available after a long lag and in the meantime, we are looking at different indicators for clues about the state of economic growth, inflation and job creation. I talked a lot about interest rates, about how the US economy is doing, about load shedding and the fiscal position.
