The Economy of Francesco: a call to serve humanity. The view from the youth

ITA: Durante il webinar, due giovani partecipanti al percorso Economy of Francesco condivideranno la loro esperienza. Presenteranno l'iniziativa e condivideranno il lavoro svolto dai giovani durante quest’anno, culminato nella dichiarazione finale presentata a Papa Francesco nel novembre 2020. Condivideranno idee e aspirazioni sul ruolo dei giovani per porre l'economia al servizio di una ecologia integrale.ENG: During the webinar, two young members of the Economy of Francesco will share their experience of the movement. They will present the group and share the work done by the youngers during this year, as well as the final statement presented to Pope Francis in November 2020. They will present some ideas and aspirations for the future as an invite to make the economy work for integral ecology.With:Agustina Brizuela is a 25-year-old Argentine political scientist. She works as an advisor on digital strategy in the Secretariat of Public Innovation of the Argentine Presidency since 2017. She is a PhD candidate in Political Science. For many years she developed social work in vulnerable sectors in Argentina. Academically, she is interested in political economy, local development studies, and innovation as a tool for development. She is a member of the Economy of Francesco and participates in the Finance and Humanity Village.Nicolas Cestarolli is a Brazilian economist, 33 years old, change-maker and participant of the Economy of Francesco. Since 2015, he has worked for Oikocredit with impact investments in Brazil, supporting microfinance institutions, such as NGOs, Cooperatives, Fintechs and sustainable agriculture initiatives such as Organics, Fairtrade Cooperatives and other ESG initiatives.He joined the Economy of Francesco after being inspired by the Pope's encyclical "Laudato Si" through the possibility of unifying our efforts to care for our Common Home and Brotherhood.
