ECR Minerals (AIM: ECR) is an AIM-listed mineral exploration and development company, with a strategic objective to deliver the next multi-million oz gold resource in Australia. The company’s wholly-owned Australian subsidiary Mercator Gold Australia Pty Ltd has 100% ownership of the flagship Bailieston and Creswick gold projects in central Victoria, Australia, and has eight licence applications outstanding including two licence applications lodged in eastern Victoria (Tambo gold project).Well-funded following a recent fundraise, ECR currently has some £5m in the coffers, enough to fund all drilling and exploration activities for the foreseeable future. Late last year the company acquired its first drilling rig, currently engaged at Bailieston, and is about to purchase a 2 nd rig to accelerate the series of drilling programmes currently underway. In this regard, ECR is currently engaged in intensive drilling campaigns at both the Bailieston and Creswick gold projects, headed by an experienced exploration team with significant local knowledge of the Victoria Goldfields and wider region.
