Stephen Kinzer, former NY Times foreign correspondent in over 50 countries for over 20 years covered many of the hot spots all over the world from Guatemala to the fall of the Berlin Wall to Turkey and Israel.  His book "Overthrow: A Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to Iraq" is a must read for any serious student of foreign policy.  He gives some very unique observations about Afghanistan.  Did you know that we had U.S. soldiers doing voter registration there?  One soldier was killed registering voters.  Is that what they are trained to do?  FUBAR, is what it is.In the first half hour of "The Edge" talk radio, Dave and Di interview Stephen and in the 2nd Half Hour cough up more hair balls of truth from the crap we all digest throughout the week from the Fat Cat News and Bloviators of Blather.
