His decision to skip this year’s World Economic Forum meeting in Davos underscores the challenges he faces as the new Democratic-led House of Representatives flexes its muscles. Trump’s domestic problems have serious implications for the rest of the world as the impact of his trade war with China grows. With Trump focused on home, the prospects for a resolution to the trade war will diminish, hurting China and other emerging markets.
