The effects of climate change in Uganda, with Sandra Gray.

from Wildlife and Adventure Photography · host Graham Elliott / Sandra Gray

Send us Fan MailI find climate change a difficult subject. There is mounting evidence of the severity of the situation and it's easy to feel helpless and that there's nothing we can do about it.  In this podcast we look at the realities of climate change in the Kisoro area of southwest Uganda. We also talk about what can be done about it, and what you can do personally.  Climate change is one of those problems that requires everyone to take steps to minimise the damage it is causing. That might involve contributing money to the various projects and organisations that are doing what they can, but many of us are facing significant economic issues too.  So what are the steps you can take? The simplest answer is to look at what you are consuming and minimise what you can. Also look at repairing and reusing what you can. Consider buying second hand, or keeping things for longer. One of the biggest contributors to our current problems is the clothing industry and yet it seems to fly under the radar.  It might feel that you can't make much of a difference on your own, and that might be true. But remember, you're either part of the problem or part of the solution! It's time to make a choice.  If you would like to know more about Sandra Gray's work, or even get involved with what she is doing, please send me an email at [email protected].  I hope you find the podcast interesting. It's time for another podcast...
