The Ego helps us to cope with Childhood Traumatic Events
from Victim 2 Victor: Healing Trauma & Building Real Love · host Anu | Author | Survivor | Optimist
Ego states develop as a way to cope from traumatic events which may have occurred in childhood. When children are under repeated distress, they do not develop a healthy sense of self or ego. Instead, the ego splits off into different states that are connected to the 'fight-flight-freeze' response. As a childhood trauma survivor myself, I found it difficult to show my emotions and to be vulnerable all throughout my life and this affected my ability to form healthy relationships as I kept reliving the past. It is only as I have become more self-aware that I no longer want my ego to keep taking me back to the past. In this podcast episode I will be discussing the ego state and how it lays a distorted identity in case of child abuse. Listen on to find out how we can finally acknowledge and become aware of the ego and detach from the traumas of our past.If you would like to take your self development to the next level then please sign up to my FREE 12 week self discovery plan here: https://victim2victor.net/free-12-week-self-discovery-plan/More information about me can be found via links here: https://linktr.ee/healing.journeyyIf you are interested in my book 'Victim 2 Victor', it is now available on audio and can be found on:Audible: adbl.co/3akVNCu Amazon: amzn.to/37jFt2WDownload the transcript here: https://victim2victor.net/the-ego-helps-us-to-cope-with-childhood-traumatic-events-2/Send us Fan MailConnect with me: Take the diagnostic tool kit to stop repeating patterns in your relationships: https://victim2victor.net/the-chemistry-trap/Book a call with me: http://calendly.com/v2vhealingjourneyInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/victim2victor_anuverma/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/anuvermav2vAccess all resources: https://linktr.ee/healing.journeyy
