As per Moore's law, we've seen increasing computing power at decreasing costs, but at the same time, there has been a stagnation of progress in physical sciences and related technologies. This stagnation has caused problems for institutions and economic systems built around a paradigm of embedded growth. So what has caused this great stagnation? And can Bitcoin fix it?
