The Empire Strikes Back's Most "Controversial" Change

In the original cut of The Empire Strikes Back, Emperor Palpatine was played by the actress Marjorie Eaton with chimpanzee eyes, voiced by the legendary Clive Revill. Later, for Return of the Jedi, distinguished stage actor Ian McDiarmid got the part. For the 2004 DVD release of the Original Trilogy, the original emperor as seen in The Empire Strikes Back was replaced with McDiarmid.
