Here we consider how Jesus utilizes Old Testament language to describe both the destruction of the temple in 70 AD and the ultimate triumph of his kingdom. This illustrates the cyclical nature of prophetic patterns and the ongoing spiritual upheaval brought about by the gospel in our age as well.
