This sermon focuses upon the event of the second coming of Jesus as judge, Lord and coming king. We are reminded of the certainty of His coming and then consider the tumultuous changes in creation when He appears, accompanied with the resurrection of the dead and the judgement of all before Christ. We learn that this second coming is an event that we can prepare for - that Jesus teaches His followers to be ready and watch. We consider what we are supposed to be looking for and discover that Jesus as the coming King is already inaugurating His kingdom.
