Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. (Revelation 19:11-13 ESV) When Jesus was on earth, he talked a lot about a kingdom. He said it wasn't of this world and it wasn't like the kingdoms that the listeners knew about. He said it wasn't ruled the same way either. What was he talking about? Was it just a spiritual ideal? Was it a 'heavenly' idea about how we are supposed to live individually and corporately? Or was it something more? This week we want to take another step toward the end. Jesus is coming back. When he does, he has some things to do that this world has never seen or experienced. Take some time to read Rev 19-20 to see how this kingdom is established and what it will look like. And then plan to join us to worship together this Sunday at 10:30.
