The Entrepreneurial Lawyer - Aaron McDonald [LLB ’07, LLM ‘16]

As Western Australia’s first Law School, UWA Law graduates, staff and students have achieved much.  Join Blackstone President Joshua Sanchez-Lawson and Aaron McDonald [LLB ’07, LLM ‘16] for an insightful discussion about the future of law, entrepreneurship and the impact Aaron is making in the community. Be part of the Law School’s ongoing story at their 90th gala to celebrate the past, present and future on September 1st. BIO Aaron founded Pragma in 2014. He is a graduate of the University of Western Australia. He was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2008 and in the High Court of Australia in 2009. He regularly appears as an advocate in all Courts and Tribunals. Aaron completed his articles of clerkship with a commercial law firm before spending 5½ years at a major international law firm in its Litigation and Dispute Resolution Division. He was promoted to Senior Associate. During his time at that firm, he spent 18 months working in the firm’s Melbourne office. Aaron has lectured to law and business students at tertiary level. He also gives presentations to members of the legal profession including most recently a presentation with the Chief Justice of Western Australia on best practice in mediation. Aaron has graduated with a Masters of Laws from the University of Western Australia.  Aaron sits on the Courts Committee of the Law Society of Western Australia. Aaron is a Committee member of The Piddington Society – an organisation which promotes access to justice and legal education. In 2017, Aaron founded the Subiaco Community Legal Service. He sits on the Board as Chair.
