The escapism of Virtual Reality and Crohn's Disease - With Ethan (Pooks)

from Crohn's and Autism Awareness Advocate · host Mason Milne

Today I am joined with Ethan who is known to most of the internet as Pooks, he makes lots of good content on his channels while using his VR. Ethan was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2013, while he was 13 years and he talks about the process of a diagnosis. When talk about how Crohn's makes us feel, medication too where Ethan is at higher risk at breaking his bones more easier because he was on steroids for 1 year and half, which as most Crohn's and IBD patients will know you are advised to only be on them for a few months. Ethan was on steroids because of his abdominal pain, he hopes not be on steroids ever again, at this point he couldn't be put on any more biologics because he had been them all. 3 years after his diagnosis he had a stoma after tying every biologic medication available, as well as having a stoma Ethan has weekly Humira injections, we both relate to that as we both take humira. He talks about his stoma in more detail in the episode.  Some great advise given by Ethan too! Things to take from this episode are everyone with Crohn's Disease is different. And we hope everything will work out okay! Thank you again Ethan, Pooks for a awesome conversation!
