In a world that has made it a priority to redefine love, we will take a moment right now to remember the Author of love. Yes! There is, in fact, love, and it was not invented by man. God revealed Himself as love to His creation as He intimately and intentionally spoke everything into existence from His heart. And He put His breath of life into all of the animals that have ever lived (Genesis 1:30). But none of God's creation was created with the level of intimacy and love that mankind received when God formed us and dedicated us as His image bearers. What must it have been like to be one of the first creatures roaming the earth during the sixth day of creation that had the privilege of watching the God of creation form a human being from the dust of the earth? What must it have been like to watch Him breathe life into his nostrils? It must have been a sight to see, since it was so profoundly incredible that even God had to stop and take note that everything He created was very good! (Genesis 1:31) Let these verses wash you in the deep waters of God's love. Because His love is enduring and unchanging, and it is the same very good love that has the power to breathe life into the dry and decayed places in our humanity.
