THE EVIL OF LEADERSHIP

The binary between inevitability and avoidability in the context of leadership 'evil' in Africa is not a matter of clear-cut dichotomies. It is rather an amalgamation of complex factors that fluctuate with time, geographical location, and the dynamism of domestic and international politics. The question thus should not be whether evil in leadership is an unavoidable fate or a preventable phenomenon but rather how the inherent potential for effective and equitable governance can be galvanised to eschew the cyclical malaise of tyranny and corruption. This discourse asserts that the evil of leadership is not fated but catalysed by systemic flaws that are both internal and external to Africa, and it is through the conscientious dismantling of these flawed paradigms that a new epoch of enlightened leadership may emerge.
