The Exodus

The Exodus is God's account of delivering the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, primarily found in Exodus (chapters 1–15). God raises Moses to confront Pharaoh and demand the release of His people. When Pharaoh refused, God sent ten plagues upon Egypt. After the final plague—the death of the firstborn—Pharaoh lets the Israelites go.They depart in haste, crossing the Red Sea, which God parts the Red Sea to allow them to escape. When Pharaoh's army pursues, the sea closes back over them, securing Israel's freedom. The Exodus marks a defining moment of liberation, God’s power, and the beginning of Israel’s identity as His covenant people.
