The Expected Saviour // The Birth of Jesus [Matthew 1:18-25] (Gary Gilpin)

This last week of our end of year series, Gary Gilpin looks into the story of the birth of Jesus the Messiah, from Matthew 1 verses 18 to 25. Gary covers three different aspects of the birth - the scandal of it all; the spirit involved in the scandal; and the surrogate/substitute. He talks about each of these three aspects in the context of the time, and how it was so much more than what the prophecies talked about. Gary discusses how this would seem if it happened today. He challenges us to remember our Saviour this Christmas, and not to get wrapped up in the gift-giving traditions that surround us.
