The Extended Unemployment is Ending doesn't Mean Labor Shortage will Ease

from The Black Iye Podcast · host Michele High Bailey

Businesses have decried the extra $300.00 weekly payment in addition to regular unemployment benefits. Now that the extra benefits are about to end, it seems the looming ending is not the panacea for the labor shortage all had hoped for. People are still holding for better opportunities. After  2020, hell after the near bursting bubble of 2019, People had time to think about the meaning of life. Of course, there is no reality where work is not a thing, but how meaningful that work is, is a thing. This is why businesses are having trouble hiring and retaining employees. No matter where you stand on this issue. Things have changed and may never be the same again.
