The farmer worked very hard in the field, but the sone were least interested in farming. Instead, they would spend their time lazying around. The farmer once day fell very sick, and he felt that his end was near. He called his sons to his side, and expressed his sadness because he had failed in making his sons realize the importance of hard working. He told the sons that there was a treasure hidden in the field, and that he wanted his sons to find the treasure.Once the old farmer died, the sons took up their sickles and ploughs, and dug up the entire field in search of the treasure. Three months thus passed, but they did not find any treasure. However, because of their efforts, they could raise a bumper crop, and make a lot of money by selling the grains. The sons had learnt a valuable lesson that hard work yields great rewards.
