The Father, the Son, and the Holy Bible?

Perhaps you have heard this phrase. Typically, it is not an endearing thing to say when uttered, as it refers to those who place a great emphasis on the importance of Scripture. The implication is that those who place this emphasis are in essence worshiping the Bible and potentially not giving way to the Holy Spirit. Some may even believe these individuals are void of the Holy Spirit.  What does Scripture have to say about the value of the Word of God in the life of believers?
